On a perfect Sunday morning in late August, a large and enthusiastic group of Wynberg girls and teachers walked the contour path from Rhodes Memorial to Kirstenbosch. This walk is really a Cape Town classic which should everyone living here should experience. Winter, is also a special time to do this walk with water crashing down the gorges and waterfalls and the forest dripping with recent rains. With a good picnic breakfast at the scree at the top of the 500 foot zigzag, we reached Kirstenbosch by lunchtime. All in all, a fantastic day on our beautiful mountain!
