Despite it’s name, this Acting Association is one to which Wynberg girls belong. The WBAA is intended to be a place where one can express one’s individual creativity. It is an association which aims to promote drama, create opportunities for interaction between other schools, and foster strong ties between Boys’ and Girls’ High.

At Wynberg we believe that drama encompasses discipline, knowledge, creativity and courage. It serves as a platform for self-expression and bringing out individuality. In WBAA classes, we learn skills which include voice and speech, stage performance and looking at new and innovative ways of acting. We undertake the processes, imaginative exercises and warm-ups actors do in preparation for a performance, and also play drama games to stimulate creativity and alertness.

It participates in the annual International Shakespeare Schools Festival.
