Indoor Hockey started after World War II as an off-season activity for field Hockey players and is relatively new to the world of sport.

Many players find that playing Indoor Hockey improves their Outdoor Hockey skills tremendously. Because Indoor Hockey is not offered at a provincial level in the Western Cape, many of our stronger players participate in Simon Martin’s PSI Tournaments.

Wynberg competes against many schools all over Cape Town and also participates in the Annual PGSGU Interschools’ Indoor Hockey Tournament. This year (2011) we won the Interschools’ trophy.

We currently have 7 teams entered into the league and encourage our Grade 8’s to join the Indoor squad early in the 1^st Term.
