Blood. A vital part of life. The fluid that many people desperately need.
On the 23rd January 2012, the WP Blood Transfusion Service came to WGHS to allow girls over the age of 16 to donate a pint of blood. The girls were required to fill a form so they could register on the Blood Donor System. Everything, from blood pressure to weight, was checked before the donors received the go-ahead to donate blood. The lucky few who passed the intense background check, had the good fortune of having a needle stuck in their arm in order to extract blood. However, each successful donor did walk away content that their donation could save up to three lives.
