Buckets of Love – Wynberg Girls get Involved

On the 5th of December 2011 a group of  Grades 10 and 11 helped out at the Catholic Welfare and Development by packing 550 buckets of love!  “Buckets of Love” are packages of staple foods and some luxuries for poor families over the Christmas period, and this year, the Catholic Welfare and Development hoped to package 7000 for Cape Town’s needy. A number of schools were invited to assisted with the packing of these buckets, and thirty-one of our learners leapt at the chance. Reports of the joy that this small contribution brings to the recipients’ lives is humbling. Our girls thoroughly enjoyed helping them were particularly grateful to Nikki Burnell who helped make it happen.
