Cape Town Eisteddfod results – Wynberg’s Guitarists

On Sunday morning, the 7 June 2015, Sea point Civic centre was the place to be as from 10am – 1pm the Guitar section of the Cape Town Eisteddfod took place. It was a particularly anticipated event this year for our guitar students. For many of the girls it was the first time they would perform in front of an audience, which is a big step for all musicians. Also, it was the first time our school’s guitar ensemble had entered.

The results and positive feedback for our solo performers was outstanding. The guitar ensemble as a whole charmed the crowd and left them wanting more. It was a day I’m sure the girls won’t forget any time soon. They all played extremely well and should be proud of their achievements. Great thanks must go to all the parents who lifted and supported their children as well as Mrs Brink, our teacher, for all her efforts in the preparation and making sure the day ran smoothly.  We have great expectations for next year!
