“The Cape Junior Ballet Company has been formulated to give dedicated young dancers specialized training and performance opportunities in a professional environment. The company aspires to be one of South Africa’s most versatile and exciting youth companies and is committed to increasing an audience for dance.”

Being part of Cape Town Junior Ballet, Jenna Roll and Mikayla Isaacs, along with a selected few of the junior company members were given the opportunity of being in the famous ballet production of “The Sleeping Beauty”.

The process of putting on such a professional and high calibre show entailed hours of rehearsal. These rehearsal times began almost 5 months prior to the show’s opening night.

The ballet tells the enchanting story of Sleeping Beauty. Both Jenna and Mikayla were given roles as Garland Dancers and danced or acted throughout Act 2. The show ran from August 10th until August 18th , with 5 performances and 3 full houses.
