Change is good… Certainly for the staff of Wynberg Girls’ High and the patients of Victoria Hospital at Christmas it is.

This year, the staff of Wynberg felt that they would be happier to donate gifts to people in need over the Christmas period rather than to do a ‘Secret Santa’ swop internally for ourselves. After contacting Victoria Hospital list of items that patients are in desperate need of, andwhich the hospital cannot provide, was given to us. Basic items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, wet wipes, talcum powder, deodorant, magazines (new or second hand) or a little “snack” or chocolate were some of the suggestions that we received.

Sam de Mink, who initiated the idea, and parcelled the gifts, was delighted with the number of Christmas Care Packages the staff were able to put together for the patients of Victoria Hospital.
