12 girls and 4 staff (including Elise, our Dutch exchange student) headed out last Sunday morning on a kloofing trip in the Du Toit’s Kloof mountains. Starting out in cool drizzle, the day eventually offered us hot sunshine and beautiful mountain pools to swim in. The scenery was spectacular and although the terrain was very tricky to cross, we eventually made it to the top and we witnessed one of the most dramatic waterfalls which not many Capetonians would even be aware of. Here, everyone swam and jumped into the massive pool below the waterfall.
After a day of great adventure, we arrived back at school physically exhausted but mentally invigorated nonetheless. Once again, a real taste of the beautiful surroundings we have right here on our doorstep!
