The flute ensemble participated on the 29 April in the FACETS festival held annually by San Souci Girls’ High. It was our first major performance of the year and it was extremely good exposure for all our new members and the ensemble as a whole. We played alongside various ensembles from various schools, including Rustenburg, Rondebosch, SACS and San Souci.

As one parent has commented we presented “a good selection” which included 4 pieces namely, “Allemande”, “Radetsky March”, “Dance of the little Swans” and “Rondeau”. We also got positive comments from the audience saying we “delivered a smooth and polished performance.” The adjudicator commented on “good ensemble playing and good sense of rhythm” and rated it as a merit performance. Overall it was a wonderful evening filled with wonderful music and clear displays of our limitless Wynberg pride.
