Indoor Hockey: 23-27 January

First Team
The 1st indoor hockey team played really well in their 1st game of the season against Reddam 1st. They knew they needed to start the season off with a win and they managed to do so with a 2-1 victory.

Second Team
The 2nd team played against Herschel’s 3rd team. The team played well but have a lot of work to do this season. Everyone enjoyed the game and all are excited about the games ahead. Although they lost the game 1-0 they certainly never gave up.

Takara Swanepoel (Captain)

Third Team
Having just finalized all our teams, it was a new group of girls that made up the Wynberg 3rd team. They took on the Bergvliet 1st Team. After a hard and well fought match, Bergvliet sealed their victory of 3 goals to zero.

Fourth Team
Wynberg 4th team played Reddam 2nd in what was an exciting game and a very hard-earned 2-0 win. The enthusiasm exhibited by the 4ths bodes well for their future matches.

Fifth Team
Wynberg 5th team may have lost their first match of the season to Fish Hoek’s 1st Team, but their fighting spirit was evident all the way through to the final whistle. The final score was 8-0.

Sixth Team
The 6th team played really well. With a focused and determined attitude, they beat Bergvliet’s 2nd team 2-0. It was a very proud team that returned to Wynberg.

Seventh Team
The 7th team put up a huge fight in their match, but in the dying seconds of the game, Fish Hoek scored a blinder of a goal to hand them a very close 5-4 victory.

All the teams have shown that they are ready for the 2012 Indoor Hockey Season.
