Indoor Hockey vs Rustenburg

Two Indoor Hockey matches were held on Wednesday 8 February at the Wynberg Military Base.

2nd Indoor Hockey Team :Ready and waiting for the season ahead

Wynberg 1st team

The 1st team played extremely well in a hard fought tussle against rivals Rustenburg.  They played their usual attacking style of play which in the end rewarded them with a 1-0 victory.

The team are excited to get back to practice to work on a few technical aspects to their game, before they meet the strong team from Fairmont .

The 7th,6th,5th and 3rd team games were cancelled, while the 2nd team’s game was postponed.

Wynberg 4th team

Although Wynberg went a player down in the 1st  10min of the 2nd half, they still managed to keep their heads in the game. Hayley Knol opened the scoring with her 1st goal of the seasone which put Wynberg in the lead.  After much excitement, Rustenburg equalised in eth dying minutes of the game.  the final result – 1-1.
