24 March marked the gala performance of Dragon, the Wynberg Boys’ and Girls’ High 2014 Major Production. Directed by Mrs Kseniya Filinova-Bruton, the play highlights how the abuse of power “leads to tyranny and oppression. The play illustrates the universal truth that unless we ‘kill’ the dragon within ourselves, tyranny and corruption will continue.”

There are some extraordinarily funny moments with some excellent performances. There is high drama as battles are played out with dragons (within and without) amidst thunderous sounds, smoke and dazzling lighting as tyranny and oppression, and the curiously “obedient” (read for this those crippled by an inability and unwillingness to resist) play out their stories.

The run is a short one: only 3 nights left! Don’t miss the opportunity to support the cast of Dragon – on at Wynberg Boys’ High School at 7:30 every night until Thursday 27 March. Booking through or
