The hall was filled with excited whispers as the parents and friends of music students entered the hall on Tuesday, 14 May. Girls were ready to perform as they sat smiling on the choir stands at the side of the hall.

Last night’s music concert was well attended by parents and friends. The performances were top notch and was a superb mix of classical music and modern music. All ensembles were incredibly slick, well-rehearsed and played beautifully.

Huge congratulations to the soloists who showed considerable skill and a very apparent love of music. Special mention to Siyaka Ndiki who got the audience revved up with her soulful vocals and dance moves as she sang “Pata Pata” by the late Miriam Makeba. Another special mention to Hong Ju Nam in Grade 8 for her jaw-dropping performance of “Sonata in F” by Soler. Congratulations to all girls who played, and a huge thank you to the teachers who put the concert together and for all the hard work that goes into rehearsals.
