The Wynberg Netball Teams played against Braeburn Garden Estate School.

The Wynberg girls were extremely nervous as this was the first match that they would be playing together as a team.  Unfortunately the tour team did not have 2 teams, so only the Wynberg U14 B team played.  The match started at 15h15. Very quickly the Wynberg team managed to gain a substantial lead which made their confidence grow.  The u14’s don’t usually play a match of four, 10 minute quarters, however they were extremely excited at the thought of playing a 40 minute netball match.

At the end of the first quarter, Wynberg were leading 6-1. Coach Mrs Williams made changes with the shooters, and at half time, Wynberg were leading 12-1.  With an excellent defence, the score at the end of the 3rd quarter was 18-2. Braeburn were fortunate to get a goal in the last quarter, while the Wynberg shooters were working overtime. The final score was 24-3.

Both teams played in fantastic spirit, and Wynberg awarded their goal keeper and goal shooter a Wynberg T-shirt for the game they played.
