Starting the game with such a fast pace, our girls started to lose control of the speed of the game, with everyone not keeping to their spaces, the game was cramped and Wynberg lost control of the ball quite a few times because of this.  The half time score was 7-5 to Wynberg.  In the 2nd half, our girls were more composed and calmed down which resulted in a much better communication base for the team.  Player of the match went to Kelsey Theunis ( WD ), who kept a level head throughout the game.

Final score was 12-10 to Wynberg.

Our girls had all the confidence in the world when starting this game, with nothing to hold them back they took control from the word go and never took their eye of the ball.  Starting the 2nd half we had a lead of 10-4.  In the 2nd half our girls were determined to keep our opponents goals to a minimum, with defence players, Kiah Martin and Agape Thamar intercepting the majority of the opponents centre passes, Wynberg were set for the win.  Player of the match goes to Hannah Muller ( GS ), who had a 96% conversion rate.

Full time score was 19 – 8 to Wynberg.

The girls were excited to get back into the swing of things, with exams just finishing.  Our girls could not wait to have some competition to play against. The girls spoke to each other throughout the game and worked as a team.  Half time score was 10 – 3 in Wynberg’s favour. In the 2nd half our girls were put to task and never allowed their opponents to score. The coach was very impressed with her team, and had the following to say, “ they played a smooth, clean and well executed plays throughout, very impressive!”

Full time score was 20 – 3 to Wynberg.

After a slow start, the girls picked up their game to get into the lead.  At half time the score was 3 – 0 to WGHS.  Although the shooters were at their best due to the tough opposition that created anxious moments for our girls.  The girls played very well until the final whistle.  Players of the match goes to Michaela Pinkham ( C ) and Sarah Underwood ( WA ).

Final score was 12 – 6 to Wynberg.

Our girls played extremely well as a team, leading 6-3 at the half time whistle. Even though there was quite a bit of contact during the game, our girls continued to play even harder than before, pushing the goal average up.  They finished the game with a score of 16 – 9 to Wynberg.  Player of the match goes to Tayob Harrison ( GD ), who did an excellent job by intercepting quite a bit of Monument’s centre passes.

The game started off with a bang, with the team scoring 20 goals in the first half, the coach was a bit speechless!  The girls kept their eyes open for opportunities which allowed the game to flow smoothly. They kept passes tight and accurate. The Final score of the game was 26 – 4 to Wynberg.  Player of the match goes to Naomi.

The final score was 17 to Wynberg and 22 to Monument Park. There were so many nail biting moments in the game as the girls contested every ball against the other team. Even though the girls did not win, they played beautifully together pulling together as a team to get back in the game after struggling in the beginning.  All the players were given their due, as they pulled together as a unit, hopefully we can improve from this and look forward to a victory with our next encounter.
