Nicole receives certification: 1st in the world

Nicole Wentzel - 1st in the World

On Monday we were delighted to be able to award Nicole Wentzel what has to be amongst her finest academic achievements – a certificate from Cambridge University verifying that her History results were best in the world in the year 2014.  (For the beady-eyed readers of this website, you might notice that the teaching is accredited to El Shaddai, which is the exam centre from which she wrote – but we can guarantee that she is 100% a Wynberg woman!)

Without wanting to detract from the enormous success that Nicole has achieved, Wynberg Girls’ High has a history of obtaining quality AS Levels results:

in 2009 Clare Rodseth was 1st in the world – English
in 2010 Jamie de Klerk was 1st in the world – History
in 2011 Julia Consentino was 1st in the world – English
in 2012 Lauren Gildenhuys was 1st in SA – English and History
in 2012 Lauren Mitchell was joint 1st in SA – History

We are immensely proud of all of these young women and indeed their teachers who have accompanied them on this exciting journey.
