On pointe for the finals…

We congratulate Juliette Lindup on some very fine Eisteddfod results. She received high honours of 84% for both her Talisman and Copelia repertoire solos. She also received a diploma for her Cinderella demi-character and tied for first place in the finals.

This year, she entered the Modern Eisteddfod as well and got a diploma for her Contemporary solo which she will re-dance in the finals still to come. This is particularly impressive as she only began contemporary classes in February this year.

good day to dance

On 11 June, she will be one of 45 dancers from around the country entering the junior section of the Theatre Dance Association (TDA) Ballet Repertoire Competition at the Artscape. The TDA provide an elevated platform for non-professional Ballet dancers to gain more experience, before they compete in the prestigious South African International Ballet Competition and/or travel to Repertoire Competitions worldwide. The event ties in with Cape Town City Ballet’s annual mid-year season at the Artscape and “Dancers for Dancers”,  the annual Theatre Dance Association fund raiser for Cape Town City Ballet.
