indoor hockey2nd Indoor Hockey Team
On Wednesday, 15th February, the 2nd Indoor Hockey team played against Pinelands 1st team. It was a tough match played at a fast pace and the girls were not used to the quick pitch. Unfortunately, we were a little overwhelmed and lost our structure a few times. It was great to have Caylee Nell back in the team. She pulled off some strong passes and distributed good ball from the back. Player of the match is awarded to Skye Murray for her consistency on the court, her dedication and for always giving her best in practices and matches. Final score was 0-3 to Pinelands.

3rd Team vs Pinelands 2nd Team
This was a nail-biting game with some great scoring opportunities from both sides. Pinelands scored their 2 goals early in the game, despite Grace Cochrane’s best efforts and due to some poor Wynberg marking. The team kept their cool and there was some good build-up play from the back by Haanim Samaai and Kaitlyn Wilson to set up a few scoring changes. Emmah Herbert did brilliantly to draw the Pinelands 1st Team goalkeeper and slot the ball past her, on debut. Despite taking out keeper off in the last minute and adding an extra player into the game, we just couldn’t get that equaliser and lost 1-2. Certainly our best effort yet.
