waterpolo1The u14As continued their strong form as they went on to beat their opposition (Bloemhof) 11-0. This match is evidence of their hard work and dedication. They will be working with the First Team as they prepare for the quarter finals of Waller Cup next week Monday 13 March at WBHS.

To earn Wynberg the next win of the day, the First Team girls held their rivals to a narrow 4-3 win. Lapses of concentration proved to be costly for the team, but they managed to pull through with the victory. Special mention to the matrics of this team (Melissa Makinson, Sonja Stock, Maryam Adams and Britt Gutuza) who played their last round of League fixtures of their high school careers.

Our u16As left us at the edge of our seats with the last game of the day ending in an unlucky draw. Leading for most of the time, the girls let the victory slip as Bloemhof fought back to pick up a point. The result was 7-7. With no subs, Wynberg played a beautiful game of polo and ended off the season very well.  Jade Yardin and Mia Stock played exceptionally on attack. It was one of the best games the girls have played throughout the season.
