The Santa Shoebox Project is an inspiring initiative which prompted Silverlea’s contribute of 16 shoeboxes. Each tutor group pledged for 4 boxes and  personalised each making them age and gender appropriate.

The boxes contained hygienic items, a clothing item, educational supplies, something sweet and a special gift.

‘Share the joy of giving’ is the very appropriate slogan of this project, given that each Silverlean was granted the opportunity to make a small contribution to make the festive season joyful for the worthy recipients of these boxes. The boxes were dropped off on the 29 October 2013 at The Alphen Centre, Constantia for distribution to underprivileged children across South Africa over the festive season.
