Silwood visits Wynberg

Chef Brandon and Chef Garth from Silwood Kitchen, came to speak to the matric pupils on ideas for their Final Matric Practical Exam.

They demonstrated how to do a chocolate collar, and chocolate roses as well as icing a cake correctly with butter icing and royal icing roses.  They also demonstrated variations of a key lime tart using cream or piped Italian meringue icing. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the demonstration and were very motivated with ideas for their Matric final practical.
