Keep calm and play waterpoloThe Wynberg First Team Waterpolo played their third game in the last week against Rhenish. The girls  managed to put four goals into the back of the net and only conceded one goal. The second and third chukka were extremely tense, but Wynberg fought their hearts out and managed to keep the lead . The fourth chukka came around and the girls managed to put two more goals in, resulting in the final score of 6-2 to Wynberg .The goals were scored by Olivia Walker, Bilquees Abrahams and Cayleigh Hanekom.  The player of the match was Cameron Ducroq as she played an outstanding match. As usual, the support was amazing and contributed much to the spirit of our team.
The Second Waterpolo team played one of their best games against Rhenish this afternoon! They won 4-1 and played their hearts out! It was a very intense game but with all of the support and cheering from the crowds, along with team spirit and unity, they managed to carry on swimming and scoring the goals! Our player of the match was the goalkeeper, Erin Forster – she saved multiple goals and did much to keep the team spirits up!
Congratulations to the U16As for winning their second game this season. We saw some great play today. There were some amazing passes from the goalie at the back, and brilliant team work in the pool. We hope to improve on our awareness in the water and build on from this game, but this was a game to be proud of.
The U16B Waterpolo side played Rhenish in a tough battle, resulting in a loss. Our defense was down on all sides, but despite being put in a tough situation with rough opponents, Jennifer Vine Stones managed to save the ball countless times. Her attack was flawless, and even though she was tired, she still gave it her all!  From what we have learnt from this match, perhaps we can pull through a win next Friday.
