Hockey stick1st Team:

The First team played their last league match during their practice session on Tuesday 29 Aug.The girls were well-prepared for the game, both mentally and physically, and were ready to put everything into the game. The defence was super-solid, composed and mature in their decision-making and retained ball possession throughout the game. The two blockers, Aaminah Domingo and Maree Petersen, without doubt had the most difficult and tiring tasks, did a cracking job and securing the middle of the field and denying the opposition passing opportunities in key areas! Kayla Morgan cut through the field with so many sniping runs from the left side, creating dangerous and exciting attacking opportunities.

A special mention to Sisipho Dingeni, who had shots fired at her for an hour and a half at first team short corner practice, then played in the goals for the second side and rushed off during their second half to join us. Despite a hard and tiring day of hockey before her match, Sisipho never stopped speaking to her team on the field. A huge congratulations to our strikers and links for creating and finishing goals with style. Goalscorers were Kayla Morgan, Keightly Walsh, Aaminah Domingo (2) and The final result was 4-0 to Wynberg.
