The All Girls Choir Festival at St George’s Cathedral.

Napoleon Bonaparte once said that “Music is the voice that tells us that the human race is greater than it knows”, and if this year’s All Girls’ Choir Festival was anything to go by, we can most definitely say that the human race is great.

On 28 September 2015, we hosted our third annual Girls’ Schools’ Choir Festival. Schools from all around Cape Town joined us in celebrating the beauty that is choral music and provided the audience with an inspirational evening. Hours of hard work proved well worth it.

Choirs and vocal ensembles from Bloemhof, Paarl Girls’ High, St Cyprian’s School for Girls, Sans Souci, Rustenburg and Wynberg Girls’ High School provided us with music to fill our souls. St George’s Cathedral was the perfect venue to host such a beautiful event and it truly made the evening all the more special.

A huge thank-you goes out to the choirs and ensembles of the participating schools, their conductors and accompanists, and to Mrs Harding, Ms Orpen, Mds Stokell, Ms Edwards, Ms Opperman, Mr Wood and all their outstanding teams. Without them the evening would not have been possible.
