The last few hours of the fourth term…

On his website you will find the Japanese proverb: “We’re fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance.” 

Well,  John Hamman and his partner Celeste looked anything but fools when they brought a  15-minute Ballroom and Latin lecture demonstration to the school on the last day of term. Both have a special connection with the school in that weeks before the Matric Dance, John has been invited to the school to teach Matrics the razzle-dazzling movements on the dance floor and Celeste Botha is sister of Mrs Alison Fowkes, a former teacher at Wynberg.  Certainly the school was delighted at what they were shown, and how much they learnt was quickly put to the test, when two girls were invited to the stage to demonstrate their ability. Needless to say, where there is good teaching, there is good learning. And our girls, in moments, showed just how good they are!
