Valedictory traditions – listen to recordings from the 2016 Valedictory Service

wghs-crestAt the Matric Valedictory Service, there are a number of  traditions held dear by the girls at Wynberg Girls’ High. Music – as always – contributes significantly to the occasion. One of the traditions is that the choir sings a song selected for and dedicated to the Matrics, one of the top Matric musicians performs for her Grade and the outgoing Head of School addresses her class for the final time. This year, Sarah Mc Donald playing “Hypnosis” by Clarke; our choir sang “Bright” by Sierota and Lara Harris, our outgoing Head of School gives her final address to her year. We do hope that this podcast will trigger good memories for the Class of 2016 and that it will be of interest to those who were unable to attend the ceremony.
