All of Wynberg teams played amazingly well on Friday, but there was one team that stood out: Wynberg 1st team, who won the match by a massive score of 26 – 3. Goals were scored by the majority of the team, but most of the breakaway goals were scored bym Lizl Everts. Quick thinking goals were scored by by Natalie Zeelie and Caitlin Coetzee. Caroline Maile had an incredible game in the goals.
Regrettably, our  U16 team struggled to get going in their match against Rustenburg and suffered a heavy defeat, losing 13-0. But, being the resilient team that they are, there was little doubt from the talk in the changing room that they have already learnt from their mistakes and we are certain that they will bounce back in the next fixture.
Waterpolo for the u14 B team has been hard work, but the results have been favourable most times. They’ve played 5 matches so far with the following results:
-Springfield – 4:4 : (tie)
-Bloemhof – 7:10 (loss)
-Rhenish – 2:1 (win)- woman of the match Vuya Puzi
-Westerford – 13:2 (win)- woman of the match Dani Graney
Even though they played as hard, they unfortunately lost to Rustenburg’s u16 b team 14-2.  They too are working at training harder, pursuing the ball more aggressively and working to give of their best in future games.
In other results, the 2nd team won 4-2, the u14A’s won 4-3,
