The Wynberg Girls’ High School Dance Society presented their annual dance showcase on 18 August 2016.

The current and gripping theme WILD YOUTH was met with exciting choreography, music choice and stage use.  With a nifty tucking away of the side curtains and backdrops and the use of scaffolding (echoing the transformation of our school as we build eight new classrooms) as props on the stage. members of the cast were at all times observers and performers.

The girls performed several group dance numbers as a society, revealing their versatility as dancers in contemporary dance, hip hop and belly dancing styles. Dancers also had the opportunity to perform solos in the dance styles of their choice and the mix provided exciting and enjoyable entertainment for our appreciative audience – much reflected by its fullness!

Under the direction of Zee Hartmann, our dance teacher; Ms E Hudson our teacher in charge and Tasha Ainsworth the 2016 Head of Dance Society, this production was not one to have been missed.
