Wynberg Celebrates Incredible AS Levels Results

We congratulate our Grade 12’s who received their AS levels results in English and History this week. Despite the fact that the demands of the course are certainly the equivalent of any university one, it is an examination which Wynberg girls sit in their Grade 11 year. Furthering the demands on these girls, they meet the requirements of both the Western Cape Education Grade Eleven Course and the Cambridge University Language and Literature Course.

Of the 21 girls who sat the English examination, there were four who obtained distinctions, and the average of the group was 71.9% while the average of those who sat the History exam was 77.625% .

The following candidates all obtained results above 70% in the final exam and we commend them on this very fine achievement:  Kayla Arnold, Alice da Silva, Roxanne Douglas, Ashleigh Dreyer, Frances Housdon, Tamar Kendon, Hayley Knol,   Michelle Langeveld, Michelle Mitchell, Jae Park, Beth Petersen, Anastasia Solomons, Clara Stassen, Zayaan Stegmann,  Ashleigh Thompson, Nicole Wentzel and Natalie Winter.   Special mention, however, must go to Nicole Wentzel who achieved 86% for English and 96% for History.
