Wynberg Girls’ High celebrates the 23rd consecutive year of a 100% pass rate

Congratulations to our Grade 12 learners of 2013, who achieved outstanding results in the 2013 NSC Examinations:

  • 182 Candidates sat the full examinations and achieved a 100% pass rate for the 23rd consecutive year.
  • 174 (95.6%) achieved a Bachelors Pass
  • 373 subject distinctions (80%+)
  • 38 learners achieved 4 or more subject distinctions.
  • Of the 18 subjects offered, 9 obtained an average above 70% and 4 above 80% – a reflection of the quality of teaching at the school

While Lauren Gildenhuys was Wynberg’s Dux of 2013, special mention must be made of Kate Bell who achieved 9 distinctions in her final exams.

Shirley Harding, at the time of announcing the results, said that this had been an exceptional year. She was delighted that the Wynberg Girls’ High School matrics of 2013, who amongst them, obtained 373 subject distinctions and have created the 23rd consecutive year record of a 100% pass rate.
