Young Biologists – Cailin Rice and Emma Suckley

The Two Oceans Aquarium Young Biologist Course took place over the April holidays. Two girls, Cailin Rice and Emma Suckley, were chosen by the organization to participate in the course. Over the first five days of the course the girls covered basic theory about the ocean and the organisms living in the ocean, as well as various assignments based on the work. This was done in order to equip the girls with the knowledge to volunteer at both the Touch Pool and Microscope exhibits at the aquarium. The weekend that followed was spent on a camp at Kleinmont. On the camp there were various beach clean-ups, environmental debates, as well as other various activities. Both Cailin and Emma had an amazing experience which changed their individual views about the ocean and environment.
