Head of School
The position of Head of School is applied for by Grade Elevens. In order to qualify for the position, the candidate needs to address the student body, outlining her vision for the school, and reveal what she has to offer it. Having done that, she is required to answer an impromtu question in front of the school.
Although the student body votes for the candidate they would like to see leading the school, a shortlist is drawn up by the Principal and Deputy Principals for the next qualifying stage. Guided by (but not necessarily swayed by) the student vote,  candidates are then shortlisted and interviewed by the Principal and her Deputies. On the basis, therefore, of the rigorous process of assessing actual leadership experience, public speaking and an interview, the Head and Deputy Head of School are appointed.
