Our Interactors engaged in some fun-filled, creative and informative work with the children at Heaven's Nest of combatting germs!
On Saturday 6 July, members of the Wynberg Girls' High School Interact Club visited Heaven's Nest in Ottery. The aim of the event was to teach the young children about disease prevention through various fun activities. Once each child had been paired up with an Interactor they were tasked with getting in to groups and making a germ which they would later present (they had to tell us where their germ lived, and how you could rid of it).
After a fun-filled zumba session, the children and Interactors were asked to create posters about being healthy using the information we had taught them. The event was an amazing way to spend the last Saturday before the start of Term 3. This event contributed to Steenberg Rotaract's #16Daysofselflesssolutions project.
