We are extremely proud of our Matriculants, and celebrate another set of excellent results with the Class of 2019.
Once again Wynberg Girls’ High School has achieved a 100% pass rate, with 95.63% of our candidates obtaining a Bachelors Pass. The remaining candidates obtained Diplomas (4,37%).
~ 160 candidates of the 160 who wrote passed the examination;
~ 95,63% achieved a Bachelors Pass, qualifying them to attend university;
~ of the 1125 subjects written, 66.04% were either an A or B symbol - a comment on the quality of the teaching and the learning at the school;
~ there were 437 subject distinctions;
~ our learners received an average of 2.73 distinctions per candidate;
~ subjects with an average of an A or B symbol include Afrikaans First Additional Language, Dance Studies, Design, English Home Language, History, isiXhosa First Additional Language, Life Orientation, Mathematical Literacy, Music, Spanish Second Additional Language and Visual Arts
~ 1 candidate obtained 8 distinctions
~ 11 candidates obtained 7 distinctions
~ 53 learners achieved 4 or more subject distinctions
~ The top three candidates at Wynberg Girls' High School in 2019 were Nicola van Tellingen 90.7%, Kayley Appleton, 90.6% and Lara Berry 90,1.%.
