Wynberg Girls' High Visual Arts students' work will be represented in what is a wonderful collection of work in "Water and Me" exhibition

Last weekend a number of Wynberg girls participated in a series of workshops entitled Water and Me. We received a delightful letter of commendation on our girls from Jackie Solomon who said the following of them: 'They got stuck in and made wonderful highly creative responses to the brief. They made full use of the wide variety of materials at hand and all of them worked mixed media pieces with aplomb. '

She went further to say how 'brave they were in their approach to making work. After a brief preamble in which they were asked to create anything about their feelings, thoughts and water experiences, they took flight. What we loved was the impulse a few of them had to collaborate on works. We look forward to you coming to see the show with them.'

We are delighted that, encouraged by Mrs Saporetti, the Wynberg Girls' High Visual Arts students will be represented in what is a wonderful collection of work for this exhibition. Later on, when times are confirmed by UCT, they will be invited up to view their work and to participate in presentations and tea at the Chemical Engineering for Water week.
