So what does a school of excellence do when the exams are over, teaching for the year is done, and teachers are finishing off the final bits of marking, collating the marks, holding promotion meetings, printing the prize-giving certificates and organising the classes for the following year?
Knowing that interest had been piqued by the 2010 soccer draw which took place on Friday night, and our own successes in the Zoe Project, an extremely efficient, well-organised and highly creative Head of Sport organised a series of soccer matches for the houses. Using the Astroturf as fields A and B and containing supporters within the space some extraordinarily exciting soccer took place.
Spirits were high and the support that the girls have for their houses was visible. The Jazz Band once again made boerewors rolls to keep their supporters happy, and to raise funds for a tour they hope to make later on in the year. Eventually, after much cheering, exciting and some extremely competitive play, Silverlea and Cavanagh battled it out. Eventually Silverlea was defeated by the jubilant Cavanagh team.
