The recent MSA clothing and toiletries drive was a success. Well done to all learners involved! Read more about their wonderful work below.
After a month long collection of clothing and toiletries for the women and children of the Saartjie Baartman Centre, the Muslim Students’ Association is proud to announce that we were able to collect a total of 142 items of children’s clothing, 285 items of adult clothing, 17 pairs of shoes, and 74 different toiletry items.
On Friday, 16 April, a few MSA committee members, along with Mrs Badroodien, dropped off the donations at the Centre. It was truly heart-warming to know that the learners in our school really went out of their way to assist us with donations, and especially during our holy month of Ramadaan. We could not have been happier to do our bit for those in need.
This is just one of our many efforts to play a positive role in our community and follow the teachings of our beloved prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him), as he said, “The best of people are those who are of most benefit to mankind.”
