Great music lifts your heart, warms the soul and makes you feel good. And at the end of a busy week, during an extraordinarily busy term as exams loom, it is just what was needed. Lasting a brief 45 minutes, it was a concert that left us wanting more.
The performances by our ensembles and vocalists inspired, delighted and entertained. With performances of Build me up, Buttercup and Feed the Birds and New York, New York by our vocalists, a haunting performance of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah by the string ensemble, and Lennon and McCartney’s Yesterday by our Flute ensemble, all pressures, stresses and troubles were washed away.
Congratulations to all who performed: it was magical!
