It has been said that the upcoming Winter will be one of the coldest the Cape has seen. In contrast to this, Wynberg girls have shown their warmth by opening their hearts (and closets!) to find second-hand clothing, toys and books for the Service Drive this term.

The Collection was given an exciting spin when Houses were given Bingo Cards with various items of clothing, books and toys on it. The aim was to fill as many Bingo Cards as possible by bringing the items that were represented on the cards. The more cards a tutor group filled, the more house points it generated for their house. Girls enthusiastically filled in their cards, bringing in t-shirts, jackets, scarves, jerseys, shorts and many other items.

Collected items were distributed amongst various institutions. Dresses were sent to 'Beautiful Gate' in Crossroads, baby clothes were donated to the 'Adonis Home' in Hanover Park, the toys and books were set aside for a future service intiative and all the other clothing items were given to St Lukes Hospice.

All Houses did extremely well in this challenge, but the winners are:

1st - Constantia
2nd - Kirsten
3rd - Waterloo

Thank you to all those who participated and donated something towards this challenge!
