A special staff meeting was held to celebrate and honour some of our staff members. WGHS also welcomes a new full time staff member this term.

On Wednesday, 31 March, a special staff meeting was held to celebrate milestones with some staff and bid farewell to others.

The staff celebrated two of our long-serving teachers; their dedication to the school and the learners is unwavering and something that all should aspire to. Mrs Ingrid Adolph and Mrs Alison Smith are pillars of quiet strength within the school. Mrs Adolph has been with WGHS for over 20 years, and Mrs Smith has been at the school for 30 years; throughout this period of service, they have been wonderful role models to learners and mentors to staff. We thank them for their loyalty and dedication. Ms Noeline Faller is looking forward to her upcoming wedding; the staff celebrated with her today, and presented her with a gift and their best wishes.

It was with a heavy heart that we said goodbye to Ms Tremaine Sewraj and three of the PEIPs, to read more about the PEIPs, click here. Ms Tremaine Sewraj joined the WGHS family in 2018 as a Technology teacher, she also taught Life Orientation. In her years at Wynberg, Ms Sewraj’s professionalism, passion and subject knowledge, and her love for the learners endeared her to both staff and learners. Ms Sewraj is leaving WGHS to take up a position as a Quanity Surveyor, and is relocating to Johannesburg. She will be sorely missed by the staff, her learners, and her tutor group.

A warm welcome is extended to Mr Brandon September who joins the Wynberg teaching staff from 1 April as a full time Technology teacher. He comes to us from Norman Henshilwood High School with a wealth of experience and knowledge in his subject. Welcome to the WGHS family, Mr September!
